HPX receives the EcoVadis bronze medal 2024

We have been awarded the EcoVadis bronze medal, placing us among the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.

What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis evaluates company’s sustainability performance across four areas:

  • Environment: We focus on using sustainable materials, reducing waste in our processes, utilizing renewable solar energy, recovering rainwater, and adopting eco-friendly cardboard packaging.

  • Labor and human rights: We are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, with a strong emphasis on positive employee satisfaction surveys.

  • Ethics: Our Supplier Code of Conduct demonstrates our commitment to ethical business practices by prioritizing human rights, environmental sustainability, and integrity in all operations. It ensures that both we and our suppliers uphold standards like non-discrimination, prohibition of child and forced labor, safe working conditions, and environmental responsibility.

  • Sustainable procurement: We aim to reduce our carbon footprint through waste management procedures and implementing a supplier code of conduct focused on human rights, safety, environmental standards and ethical behavior.

Green initiatives

Did you know we have 220 solar panels, covering up to 100% of our summer electricity needs?

As the tape industry plays a role in various sectors, we recognize the importance of sustainability. That’s why we have implemented green initiatives to reduce our environmental impact, while continuing to deliver the high-quality products our customers trust.

  1. We focus on renewability, recycling and reducing waste in our operations.
  2. We’re transitioning from PVC to polyethylene in our products and using cardboard for packaging.
  3. We encourage the use of reusable materials, such as our reusable self-adhesive masking paper which replaces plastic masking films.
  4. We’ve invested in solar energy and rainwater recovery to better manage our energy and water consumption.

Less shrink packaging

We’re significantly eliminating schrink packaging of several products in order to reduce plastic waste without impacting product performance.

Two packaging streams becoming one sustainable option

To further cut down on plastic waste and minimize our environmental footprint, we also replaced plastic packaging with recyclable cardboard across our product lines. This shift allows us to streamline our packaging from two materials (plastic and cardboard) into one eco-friendly option.

PE vs. PVC

We also offer PE (polyethylene) tape as a more eco-friendly alternative to PVC.

Eco-friendly

PE tape is more eco-friendly than PVC tape, as it doesn’t contain chlorine and other halogens that could release harmful dioxins when burned.

Recyclable

Due to its easy recycling process compared to PVC, PE is a more sustainable option, which is perfect to reduce environmental impact.

Flexible

It offers superior flexibility, adapting easily to various surfaces and shapes.

Durable

Thanks to its capability of withstanding harsh conditions without degrading, PE tape is a reliable product for long-term applications.

Chemical resistant

With its excellent resistance to chemicals, water, and moisture, it ensures the items are well-protected against damage and contamination.

Energy efficient

The manufacturing process of PE tape consumes less energy than that of PVC tape, contributing to a smaller carbon footprint.
